Do not ignore the stands

Any mechanical device that is capable of moving comes with a risk. Imagine what will happen if the device moves abruptly with your body right under it. Sounds scary, doesn’t it? Therefore, when using the jack, always secure it with the stands. Avoid using the jack without stands as much as possible. The jack stand helps to secure the device as well as your car. This can be avoided by using the stands to secure the jack. Even if anything goes wrong with the components inside the jack, the stand will prevent the injury and fall out.

Always remember to locate the lifting points

Every car comes with four lifting points which should be used while placing the jack underneath the car. Lifting the car using the wrong lifting points can break the car body and even cause accidents. Therefore, never ever forget to locate lifting points of you car. Choose the flat surface

This one doesn’t require much explanation, as the reason is quite obvious. When you place the jack on a rounded, tilted or damaged surface, you will do nothing but invite accidents and injury. Such surfaces may unbalance the jack and thus drop the car on the ground injury you brutally. Therefore, when you plan to lift the car, always park it on a concrete surface and then only use the jack. Concrete surfaces are the best ones for balancing the jack rightly. Do not rush while lifting the vehicle. Take time, do it slowly to prevent injuries.
